Your privacy in Tawba
Who provides this app
Tawba is a self-accountability app that works entirely without an internet connection. There is no account, no server, and no third party that ever receives your data. The version distributed through the app stores does not request internet access at all.
What the app records, and where it lives
When you log a sin, a repentance, a daily reflection, or change a setting, that information is written to a local database on your device only — never to a cloud. The app has no way of knowing who you are: no name, email, or phone number is ever requested.
Permissions the app requests
- NotificationsUsed to remind you at bedtime, weekly, or monthly. Every reminder is scheduled and fires locally on your device — no push-notification server is involved.
- Face ID / fingerprintWhen you turn on the optional “App Lock” in Settings, your device’s own operating system verifies your identity — Tawba only receives a pass/fail result. Your biometric data itself never reaches the app and is never stored by it.
Backups: export and import
If you use “Export backup,” Tawba creates a file on your device and opens your operating system’s normal share sheet — you choose where that file goes (storage, email, another app). Once the file leaves your device, the privacy policy of wherever you sent it applies, not Tawba’s.
Third parties and analytics
There is no advertising SDK, usage-analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK inside Tawba. No code in the released app contacts the internet.
Children
Tawba is not specifically directed at children under 13. Regardless of who uses it, the app does not collect personal data from any user.
Your control over your data
Because everything lives only on your device, you are already in full control from Settings: delete today’s entries, this week’s, or everything, at any time — no request to anyone needed. Deleting the app itself removes everything with it.

If how the app works changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page’s date will be updated and the change explained in the update’s release notes.
